Sales Tax Holiday

Children will soon be heading back to school & the Sales Tax Holiday will help kids with tax free clothes, shoes & school supplies. From August 20 to 22 shoppers will pay no state or local sales tax on many school supplies, backpacks & most children's & adults clothing and shoes priced less than $100. A list of approved items can be found on the comptroller's website at www.window.state.tx.us/taxinfo/taxpubs/tx98_490/tx98_490.html. Information should also be available soon in locals newspapers.
