Marketing to Government Agencies Are you interested in finding out what the government is buying and where to go to find out who is buying? ''Marketing to Government Agencies'' a workshop sponsored by the Rio South Texas Regional Procurement Technical Assistance Center (PTAC) and the Small Business Development Center (SBDC) at The University of Texas-Pan American, gives strategies and tactics for marketing to the state and federal government. The session is scheduled for February 24 from 2 pm to 4 pm at the Harlingen Area Chamber of Commerce, located at 311 E. Tyler in Harlingen. PTAC Director Mark Winchester encourages business owners to attend this seminar. ''Getting contracts with the federal government doesn't stop after obtaining certifications and registrations. Like the private sector, your company will also need to market itself to federal agencies in order to obtain contracts and increase sales.'' The session also covers opportunities under the 2009 American Recovery & Reinvestment Act Opportunities.
