Information Seminar: Cameron County Assistance District

The Harlingen Chamber of Commerce will host an information seminar regarding the Cameron County Assistance District on Thursday, November 3, 2016.

The seminar will take place in the David Allex Board Room at the Harlingen Chamber of Commerce from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m.

David A. Garcia, County Administrator for Cameron County, will explain what the district boundaries are and other information provided by the State Comptroller’s Office. 

The Harlingen Chamber of Commerce believes in a well-informed and politically engaged business community. This is an excellent opportunity for the voters of Harlingen to learn more about the county assistance district and the proposed 2% sales tax that will make the total sales tax rate to be 8.25%.

Information regarding the information seminar is being distributed to Chamber members via the Chamber Connect weekly e-newsletter and subsequent e-blasts.
