Black History Month in the Valley

George McShan, local educator, will help San Benito celebrate Black History with this month's lecture. In the Rio Grande Valley, the African-American community's history is as long and variety as the general history of the Valley itself. Mr. McShan serves as a member of the Harlingen School Boards and is a former dean of Texas State Technical College.
